Krav Maga is Hebrew and translate to contact combat. Originally Krav Maga was created by Imi Lichtenfeld for the needs of the Israeli army (IDF). Today Krav Maga has become a global phenomena and is taught to civilians, law enforcement, private security and military personnel. The Krav Maga system contains techniques, tactics, methods and specific approaches proven in the real world.
The approach of Krav Maga to self-defense is unique and logical. It is practiced in a natural and intuitive way to work in stressful situations. Unlike martial arts Krav Maga has no rules or competitions since the main purpose is to provide highly effective techniques and tactics to protect oneself and others from harmful attacks. Krav Maga is easy to learn since it is built on the natural responses of the human body to aggression. The system has been designed so that anyone can defend against all kinds of attacks under many different scenarios. The techniques and tactics we teach have been tested in real life and are regularly reviewed or improved, with the goal to prevent and resolve any type of violent attack and thus save life in case of danger.
